Reflection 3

    This unit is my favorite one because I like movies and I think I learned a lot in this unit. I searched 5 movies and cut some shots to combine them in order to produce my trailer. When watching the movies, I found that the scenes in the movies were so awesome. I was thinking about that it will be great if I can take some nice pictures and some amazing videos. Then, I decided to learn how to take pictures. This homework is the most interesting and meaningful one in pop culture lesson because I found my interest during the homework this weekend.

A proper bumper sticker for this unit can be “the film world”. We learned the genre of film, the development of film, the most famous film industries, and the situation of present industries. All we have learned can show us an entire picture, a world of the film. It show us the film is not only an entertainment for us but also is a culture. It develop for many years. During this time, it improved itself and find its own way to be popular around the world. Aha, just like what we have learned before, some culture are unknown. Some movies may disappear because it did not suit for our age, for example, the black and white movies and the silent movies. What’s more, the development of the film can show us the science is modern and modern, people’s spirit desire is higher than before.

In this unit, I learn the situation of black actors. Though they have great acting skill, they were defeated by white in the academic awards. I didn’t know it and I could not believe it at first. So, I searched the winners of Oscar awards and I search the situation of black people in their acting career or model career. The facts told me that black actors are suffering the unfair treatment. I think we need to treat everyone equally without the mention of race or skin. Then, the world can be more peaceful and the culture will be more divers.
